This experience is guided by one of our wine educators and typically lasts 90 minutes. Begins with a glass of wine in our Tasting Room, followed by a tour of the vineyard and ending with a seated tasting and canape pairing. Historical Estate and Grounds Tour
Explore the fabulous gardens that make up the 1100-acre grounds while delving into the deep history of Ironstone Vineyards, Murphys and the Gold Rush. On this 90+ minute tour you'll visit our iconic Tasting Room, the outdoor gold rush museum, our wine caverns and production facility, the 14 acres of well-manicured gardens, the storied Ironstone Amphitheatre and our Alhambra Music Room where you'll get a chance to listen to the Alhambra Theatre Pipe Organ live! Throughout the tour, your guide will educate you on the history of each emblematic piece and how they all fit together to create the fascinating mosaic that is the journey of the Kautz family and the creation of Ironstone Vineyards. Scenic High Country Vineyard Tour
Nestled among rolling hills and blanketed with rows of grapevines, embark on an immersive journey into the art of winemaking and viticulture. During this tour, you’ll learn the history of the vineyard, the unique characteristics of the terroir, and the meticulous care that goes into cultivating each grape variety. The tour finishes by passing through the production facility itself and into our wine cavern. Here, you'll get a bit of insight into the winemaking process itself, from the delicate art of fermentation to the precise aging techniques that define Ironstone Vineyards' signature flavors. Whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or a curious novice, our vineyard tour offers an experience that will surely deepen your appreciation for the journey from vine to glass. Afterwards, guests are encouraged to come back to the Tasting Room for a guided tasting, so they can enjoy the very wines brought to life by the vines they just explored. Tastings are not included in this tour but can be purchased as an add-on, or after the tour in the Tasting Room. PLEASE NOTE: This tour involves fairly rigorous physical activity, walking on uneven terrain, exposure to the elements, and other inherent risks related to vineyard operations. It is recommended that guests be in good health and wear comfortable, athletic shoes (that they do not mind getting dirty) for their safety and enjoyment. Weather dependent. Pricing: $20 / Members: $10 (Tasting is available as a part of the tour, for an additional $15. Not required.)
